Data Types

Data Types define the Data Fields used to define a model.

A typical example is a Surface, which is defined the following Data Types:

Elements

Break Lines

Data Types:

Vary by Module

Have several Data Fields which vary depending on the Data Type; for Nodes, these are x, y and z coordinates

Can be either visual or non-visual

You can edit most Data Types, but some, typically model results, cannot be edited.

Editing is also restricted if you don't have an active licence.

View and edit data on the Data Grid.

Visual data can also be edited on the DTM View.

Use the Data Type Toolbar to activate a Data Type.

Use the Navigation Toolbar, or the DTM View, to navigate data.
