UTM projections are the Transverse Mercator Projection with parameters:

•Semi-major axis

•Inverse Flattening

For the UTM projection:

•The Earth is divided into 60 zones

•Each zone is 6° wide in longitude

•Zone 1 Starts at the 180th meridian from Greenwich

•Zones are numbered from the west to the east
