The Shallow Water Equations comprise a system of three equations used to solve for:

•Flow Depth

•Flow velocity in the x direction

•Flow velocity in the y direction.

The equations are developed using mass and momentum continuity.

is the flow depth

is the velocity in the x direction

is the velocity in the y direction

is time

is gravitational acceleration

is the bed slope in the x direction

is the be slope in the y direction

is the friction slope in the x direction

is the friction slope in the y direction
